ARC Request
Thinking about adding a new covered patio and a deck to the back of your house? Maybe add an extension on to your office for a home theater? We want you to improve your property and make your house more of a home for you and your family. Follow the steps below to properly request a review of your project from the Architectural Review Committee. Please do not submit the request and then immediately start (or have your contractor start) your project. Follow the steps below and we’ll strive to make a determination as quickly as possible so you can move forward with your project.
Step 1
Read through the Land Use Standards and ARC Construction Guidelines documents to ensure your project is in compliance with the Twin Lakes standards and allowed.
Step 2
Determine if you need a building permit from the City of Double Oak. While you don’t need a building permit before requesting ARC approval from Twin Lakes, this will significantly reduce your wait time if you end up needing one before construction and therefore highly recommended.
Step 3
Complete the ARC Request Form (below) on this page to send the request to the ARC Committee for review.
The ARC Committee will then: Review your request, Inspect the location of your requested improvement, Contact you with any questions they may have regarding your improvement and finally, respond to your request electronically with a determination within 30 days after submitted to the ARC as per the DCCR’s.
